SpectraNet multiple detector/server/client PC license

This software has all the operational features of SpectraArray SL but supports local as well as remote operation, and can be loaded onto any number of PCs operated by the one user institution.

Multiple detector control:
The software allows multiple connection of different types of linear detectors to USB ports. The configuration utility allows one to select the detector for the current instance of the Spectra-Net session. Spectra-Net is multi-license/multi-user software, so many instances of Spectra-Net can be run simultaneously on one or several computers to control a number of identical or different type detectors. Each instance of the software can only control one detector, or a cluster of detectors when a SAM multiple detector interface is used.

Remote control:
Linear detectors can also be controlled remotely via LAN, Wifi LAN or VPN due to a new Server-Client technology implemented in Spectra-Net. Any PC in the LAN can be configured as a SpectraNetServer and the detector(s) (one or many) can be installed in the SpectraNetServer PC. The application part of the software can be run from other PCs (SpectraNet Client). The configuration utility allows the user on a Client PC to choose the SpectraNetServer PC and to select any detector attached to the SpectraNet Server. The SpectraNetServer can be operated under Windows XP or Linux. The SpectraNetClient PC has to be run under Windows 2000 or XP.
Any number of the Server/Client program can be executed simultaneously within its own control/display windows. This remarkably flexible software allows the operation of any number of detectors from any location.
